Privacy Policy
DataDingo (“DataDingo”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we handle it across the datadingo.au website, the waitlist, and the product.
1. What we collect
- Waitlist: the email address you provide.
- Account info: email, name (optional).
- Authentication metadata via Stytch: IP, user-agent, session timestamps.
- Usage data: API requests, MCP connections, credit grants and consumption.
- Billing data via Stripe (when enabled): payment tokens, invoices.
- Basic technical information such as browser type and request time.
We don’t collect or store passwords. Stytch handles authentication via magic links and passkeys.
2. DataDingo’s business data
Our company database aggregates publicly available business data (ABN, ACN, trading names, websites) about Australian businesses, compiled from official registers and disclosures. Sole-trader and partnership records are excluded from default tiers. Contact-data tiers including role emails or business phones are gated and require an explicit B2B-only affirmation. Where this information includes personal information — for example, the name of a company officeholder published on a public register — we handle it consistently with the APPs and the terms of the source register.
3. How we use your data
To contact you about the DataDingo preview and launch, run your account, secure access, send service emails, bill usage, and improve the product. We don’t sell your personal information.
4. Disclosure
Sub-processors: Stytch (auth), Resend (transactional email), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (web hosting), Stripe (billing, when enabled). All process data on our instructions.
5. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. In the event of an eligible data breach, we will comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
6. Cross-border transfers
Some sub-processors store data outside Australia (US/EU). By using DataDingo you consent to these transfers; we take reasonable steps to ensure equivalent protection.
7. Access, correction, and deletion
If you have an account, you can view your data in your account settings. To correct or delete your information, or to remove your email from the waitlist, email privacy@datadingo.au at any time. We respond within 30 days.
8. Complaints
If you’re not satisfied with our handling, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
